The Creators

First came the Creators. They were the artists to whom the blank canvas was an irresistible opportunity.
The problem was less one of immaturity, and more of the fundamental complexity of the creative process. What the Creators were starting to face was something that would become the defining theme of Place: too much freedom leads to chaos. Creativity needs constraint as much as it needs freedom.
When anyone could put any pixel anywhere, how does it not lead immediately to mayhem?

The Protectors

Another set of users emerged, who would soon address this very problem.

But like the primitive Creators, they weren't yet self-aware of their purpose on the great white canvas. Instead, they began by simplifying the experiment into a single goal: world conquest.


It wasn't long before the Factions ran head-on into the Creators. Charmander was among the first battle sites. As the Blue Corner began to overwrite the Pokemon with blue pixels, the Creators turned from their internecine phallic wars to the bigger threat now on their doorstep.

They fought back, replacing each blue pixel with their own. But the numbers were against them. With its single-minded focus on expansion, the Blue Corner commanded a much larger army than the Creators could muster. So they did the only thing they could do. They pled for their lives.

Somehow, it struck a chord. It ignited a debate within the Blue Corner. What was their role in relation to Art? A member asked: "As our tide inevitably covers the world from edge to edge, should we show mercy to other art we come across?"

This was a question each Faction faced in turn. With all the power given to them by their expansionary zeal, what were they to do about the art that stood in their path?

They all decided to save it. One by one, each of the Factions began flowing around the artwork, rather than through them.

Universul electric

Videoul de mai sus prezinta o descarcare electrica in aer, apoi in vid. In vid descarcarea continua sa aiba loc, dar "fulgerul" are o alta forma.


Pe scurt: teoria "universului electric" ia in considerare electricitatea si campurile magnetice ca forte care modeleaza Universul. Electricitatea se comporta similar in laborator sau la scara sistemului solar.
Actual, mainstreamul ignora complet electricitatea in spatiu (si campurile magnetice asociate), doreste sa explice tot utilizand numai gravitatia si incearca sa rezolve problemele aparute din aceasta cauza inventand lucruri cum ar fi materia intunecata. Faptul ca timp de 50 de ani au cautat "materia intunecata", banii investiti si carierele construite pe treaba asta - nu ajuta cand e vorba de cercetarea in alta directie.

Where does the energy come from? You’re saying all the stars are in a galactic circuit – does the energy flow from star to star? Where is the energy coming from, or is it just an ongoing circuit – how would you describe it?

As far as we can see – and when I say ‘see,’ I mean that radio telescopes are very important in the electric universe, because they can detect radio waves, and detect their polarization. The polarization of the radio waves allows you to map the magnetic field directions in space. Once you’ve done that, it’s a given in plasma physics that electric currents will flow along the direction of the ambient magnetic field lines. So in other words, you can begin to trace the circuits in deep space.

And we find the galaxies themselves arranged like Catherine Wheels – that’s the great spiral galaxies – along intergalactic power lines, what are called Birkeland currents. They’re like giant twisted pairs of electric currents which flow through space. In various places, if the density of matter – the gases and dust in space – are sufficient, these pinch down. It’s called a magnetic pinch [or z-pinch]. And in pinching down, they scavenge the matter from the surrounding space and squeeze it, heat it, rotate it, and form the stars that we see. But they do that in a particular pattern which we can reproduce in the laboratory. And that pattern is the spiral galaxy.

It’s an organic picture of the universe, and it’s a connected picture. We’re not isolated islands in space, stars are not isolated, they’re connected electrically and gravitationally. So it’s a completely new way of looking at our place in the universe.

Birkeland's vision of what are now known as Birkeland currents became the source of a controversy that continued for over half a century, because their existence could not be confirmed from ground-based measurements alone. His theory was disputed and ridiculed at the time as a fringe theory by mainstream scientists,[1][8] most notoriously by the eminent British geophysicist and mathematician Sydney Chapman who argued the mainstream view that currents could not cross the vacuum of space and therefore the currents had to be generated by the Earth. Birkeland's theory of the aurora continued to be dismissed by mainstream astrophysicists after his death in 1917. It was notably championed by the Swedish plasma scientist Hannes Alfvén,[9] but Alfvén's work in turn was also disputed by Chapman.

In 1937, Alfvén argued that if plasma pervaded the universe, it could then carry electric currents capable of generating a galactic magnetic field.

In secolul 20, unii oameni au observat un fenomen pe care l-au denumit "sincronicitate". Deocamdata pentru mainstream sincronicitatea ramane o curiozitate, sau nu exista, e vorba doar de coincidente, la fel de intamplatoare si accidentale ca si aparitia vietii.

Dupa "De-civilizare"

Era un documentar despre Mongolia. Printre altele arata o familie de mongoli, cum stateau toti in iurta si se uitau la tv. Documentarul spune "tehnologia schimba vechile obiceiuri" si "dintre cei tineri multi vor sa plece la oras".

Cred ca mongolii puteau fi inlocuiti cu oricine altcineva, orice alt grup de oameni primitivi. Asa se intampla peste tot unde triburile vin in contact cu civilizatia, fara sa fie nevoie sa vina generalul Custer sa-i extermine. Asta ne arata ca pentru a ne plictisi de tv sau "civilizatie" trebuie mai intai sa le experimentam, pentru a le intelege, si a ne intelege pe noi insine. Ideea ca oamenii ar fi trebuit sa ramana ne-civilizati, pentru ca era mai bine, sau - azi, avand acces la civilizatie, s-o respinga din prima, in mod religios, fara s-o cunoasca, e aberanta.

Cred acum ca civilizatia e inevitabila si e o evolutie. Oamenii invata mai mult, si inteleg mai mult. Si in timp vor crea o lume mai buna. Daca ar fi putut sa stie totul de la inceput, fara sa experimenteze, ar fi fost super, dar - e o idee SF. Aveau totul sau aproape totul - in starea lor initiala din gradina edenului, dar nu stiau ce au (majoritatea...).

Azi vedem triburi (Survival International) care se lupta cu buldozerele, cu taietorii de lemne, cu cautatorii de aur, de petrol, etc. Ei vad de la inceput partea urata a civilizatiei si isi dau seama ca au deja lucruri infinit mai valoroase decat cea ce pot obtine mutandu-se din padure la marginea unui oras... Lucruri pe care in civilizatie nu le-ar avea nici daca ar plati milioane. Putem sa ii consideram "norocosi" din cauza asta...majoritatea oamenilor civilizati nu au contact cu si nu observa distrugerea.
Multi alti primitivi insa nu intalnesc aceasta parte a civilizatiei, intalnesc un televizor, un snowmobil, electricitate, etc. Lucruri care le fac viata mai usoara si ii fac mai fericiti. Si nu e nimic rau in asta.

Civilizatia e o evolutie, oricat as vrea sa-i idealizez pe oamenii primitivi - nu putem da inapoi.
Si organizarea sociala in state, care cuprind milioane - tot o evolutie e, si e inevitabila. La fel cum Ghenghis Han a unit triburile in Mongolia, si in America de Nord, daca mai asteptam cativa ani inainte de a o descoperi (vreo 200), putea sa apara un astfel de cuceritor, inevitabil.

Evoluam deci, nu are rost sa ma agat de ideea unei omeniri idilice, fixata in epoca de piatra, si atotcunoscatoare in privinta a cea ce are, si a cea ce nu e bine sa faca. Ideea este - nu aveam cum sa stim ce inseamna un lucru pana cand nu l-am incercat, si suntem intr-un proces de transformare, continuu.
